Murat Ulker is Numuro Uno 

I would like to describe briefly, the man, who is currently the richest person of Turkey.  

     Billionaires in Turkey

His name is Murat Ulker.  

As the above picture shows, his net worth is 3.7 Billion.  

Mr. Ulker currently serves as the Chairman of the Executive Board and Chairman of the Board of Directors of 'Yildiz Holding A.S'   

     Murat Ulker

Mr. Ulker has been the Chairman of Executive Board of 'Ulker Group' since 2000.  He served as the Chief Executive Officer of 'Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi A.S'.  He has worked in exportation field in the Middle East for a period of two years and conducted reviews in approximately 60 factories and facilities in biscuit-chocolate-food manufacturing. 

His fortune has increased in the past year by more than half a billion dollars.  

'Yildiz Holding', which Mr Ulker chairs, has been prospering over the past year.   It is Turkey's largest food producer. 

'Yildiz Holdings' largest publicly traded company is named 'Ulker Biscuit'; this company's shares rose by nearly a third in 2013.  

'Yildiz Holdings' also has interests in finance, venture funds, packaging, real estate, wholesale trade and personal grooming. 

Outrageous wealth indeed.

Landscaping in Real Estate

How important is landscaping for your home?

The University of Guelph in Canada completed a study in the year 2011, that measured the effect of properly completed landscaping on property values, and had the following conclusion.

Landscaping increased the value of the 'home' by 5%, plus it improved curb appeal.  Extensive landscaping such as rocks, mature trees, decks and patios increased the homes value by upwards of 15%.

I can hear you say "why are you writing about landscaping in the middle of winter?"

The reason is that, if you:
Bought a home,
Planning on selling a home,
Looking to build a home, and / or
Upgrade an existing home,

Organize and plan in the winter months a 'to do list' on your home.  And when spring / summer arrives, you know exactly what needs to be completed and the expense / investment needed to complete the work.  

Also , plan on visiting 'Home Hardware' stores frequently and remember that you will be spending more money then the allocated amount.  Enough said, about this topic, from one 'Experienced' Landscaper.

MLS

MLS

Are you thinking of purchasing a home? If so, I recommend first and foremost accessing the MLS on your own, and browsing the homes in the neighbourhood, you are contemplating purchasing a home in. 


After accumulating enough information on a 'few' particular homes of your 'liking', it will be time to make contact with a Real Estate Agent.  

But I would like to go back and give further information today, on the 'MLS'. 

What is MLS?

MLS stands for 'Multiple Listing Service'. 

All homes for sale in Edmonton, and in Canada, are listed by a Real Estate Agent, onto the MLS.  However, only Real Estate Agents, and other professional can access the MLS, but that doesn't mean a home buyer or home seller can't get the same information, because they can.  

MLS is a sharing of comprehensive home information among Real Estate Agents, for the public to view the listings.  Listing Agents enter the information about the home for sale. 

The MLS is an online software that contains all the specifications about the home, such as:
the address, 
age, 
occupied by a 'Pet owner' or not,
square footage, 
number of bedrooms, 
number of baths, 
upgrades, 
zone,
schools districts, and more.  

There are generally at least half a dozen photographs of the home, plus know-a-days, a link is available to a virtual online video-tour.

and after focusing on that 'beautiful' home, you can take the next step of contacting/finding an Agent.   

In the future, I will write about the 'Zones' within the MLS, and why this is implemented as it is important to know the statistics of the area of the home.
