Bending Over of the Ottomans by the Imperialists

I don’t buy the argument or at least the down playing of Erdogan’s leadership by all the western writers/journalists.  I don’t buy it.

He was elected numerous times by the majority of the citizens of Turkey. Why does the west keep referring and thinking and believing Erdogan is a lessor ruler, than say anyone of his counterparts? Is it because the west cannot put a puppet candidate to win against him? And just concludes, Erdogan is a dictator. Where is the proof that he is?

When the French declared marshal law for the uprising and used excessive force, not  one western nation said that France was going over board beating/killing the immigrants.

When Turkey declared marshal law because bombs were dropped onto the parliament, everyone of the western nations said, Erdogan is going over board in arresting so many military staff/reporters/judges etc.

The double standard is obvious.

I’m more liberal than most Turks, and it would piss me off if the same ruler kept winning elections. And I know many people in Turkey hate that he keeps winning, but living outside of Turkey and always reading negative comments about Erdogan and his party, really makes me say, “I hope he keeps winning to piss off the western rulers who donot know how to deal with him.”

I strongly feel he will win 2023, and the last few years of his rule will be melancholy as Turkey will wonder who will lead them next. Same mentality ruler like Erdogan (I hope so) or a “yes boss” man like most all of the leaders before Erdogan, even Ataturk was a “yes boss” man to the Imperialists.
Yes boss, I’ll get rid of Islam.
Yes boss, I’ll get rid of the Arabic writing.
Yes boss, I’ll get rid of the Adhan.
Yes boss, I’ll make sure women who attend university cannot wear the hijab.
Yes boss, I’ll hang all the imams who go against western values.
Yes boss, I’ll eliminate 1,000 Arabic words and put French words in our language, to move us away from the Arabs/Islam and closer to the west.

Thought to share, I’m just thinking out loud, it will be another short book I’m working on. The title will be, The Bending Over of the Ottomans by the Imperialists.

Fatih area of Istanbul

It is interesting that this Arab person bashed Erdogan as almost all Arabs I meet love him.

He must be a left leaning person. Because most of the lefts do not like Erdogan in Turkey, it is the right wing, plus, older folks, and religious ones that keep him in power.

Turkey, under Erdogan does not have a good record in jailing so many people.

I have come across many videos on YouTube about people who were jailed for months and years, without cause. They ended up obviously losing their jobs, homes etc.

What is that phrase, power corrupts and too much corrupts without prejudice.

One thing I like about Erdogan is, and you might not agree with me was his policy about the Syrians.

I’m from Fatih, Istanbul. I was born only a block away from the Fatih Mosque, where Fatih Sultan Mehmet’s tomb is at. I tell you this to give you an idea where it is, in case you have been to that area.

Well that area of Fatih is almost all people from the province of Siirt. That is where my grandparents are from. After WWI, many people from Siirt settled, out of that faraway city (Siirt)  to Istanbul, to find better employment. Similar to Newfoundlanders coming to Alberta for work.

Anyway, people from Siirt are mostly Turkish Arabs. Because, sorry, this is heading somewhere, but during the Ottoman Empire days, people from El-Sham area, meaning Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria area, settled in Siirt area, because there was wars down in El-Sham.

So, my ancestors are Arabs from south Syria area, could be Jerusalem area.

But, the Syrian refugees due to the recent wars have settled all around Fatih. Now, that area of Istanbul is full of Arabs. The signs on shops are Turkish, English, and Arabic. Just interesting how my neighbourhood has changed, again it could be worse for some, but good for others, as these people needed a new place to live.

I guess it is good and bad, I just liked that Turkey took in 4 million plus refugees, while all of Europe complained that 1 million are coming in.

Also, Turkey taking so many refugees is due to the fact that Arabs and all the other areas around Turkey, even in the Balkans still see Turkey as the grandchildren of the Ottomans, if anyone can save us, it is them, they think.

Anyway, I wrote too much.

Take care,

Turkey and the Truth

Turkey is misunderstood in the west.  And so much wrong has been done to this country and the western folk really do not know the full truth.

What people in Turkey are asking now are these:
if Turkey won the war of independence from the imperial powers, why did Ataturk take the imperial powers alphabet?
Why were we forced to dress like the west?
Why were we not able to speak Ottoman Turkish? And take words from English and French?
Why did we lose our culture?

Do you know that people in Turkey cannot read their grand parents writing because we were forced to forget it, think about that...my grandparents were forced out of their country via Ataturk.

Did you know that Turkey is the only country that won the war of independence and then forced to take the losers (imperial powers) above stated laws.

Also, do you know how many people Ataturk hung to implement the above? It was not in the thousands, it was in the hundred thousands.

Last few things, do you know how much land was taken from Turkey to give to the puppet regimes?
1.The Greek islands taken,
2.Thrace area (Eastern Europe) taken to give to the Greeks and Bulgars,
3.Syria was taken,
4.Irak was taken,
5.north-east corner of Turkey was taken, now it is Russian.
6.Cyprus, taken by UK and given to you know who.

There are a bit more, but you get the picture.

That is why people in Turkey like Erdogan, he is standing up against the western powers.

Natural course in Turkey is the Ottoman’s.

I guarantee you that the Ottoman Sultan will be placed at the throne, similar to the queen in England, this is an unwritten goal of the coming governments.  Once this happens, all the lands taken by the imperial powers will be asked to join back.  Istanbul will be made the capital once more.

The more I read about the Osmanli/Ottoman the more I get sad what was done to my grandparents...

Thank you ❤️

Millionaires of Turkey

This is sad.  But!!!!

The heart and soul of Turkey are the common, Turkish, Kurdish, Turkic and all of the neighbouring countries citizens living there.  There are a great mix of people in Turkey.

The rich people, not all of them but many of them, when investigated made their fortune from two things:

1. The Greek and Turkish exchange of citizens.  Greeks went to Greece, Turks from the Balkans took over the fields, homes, and even businesses in Turkey and become rich over night.

2. Reason was after the war, the Armenians were given land by the Soviet in eastern Turkey, which we know now to be Armenia.  Armenia’s were the richest and most successful group in the Ottoman Empire, they were all bureaucrats.   When they were forced to leave, the Turks took over their hazel nut fields, Fig farms, cherry operation and etc.  Again, many Turks got rich very fast.

Remember, the ones that got rich, were the ones close to the party that was ruled by Ataturk, as Ataturk gave favours obviously to the ones close to him.

Now come 100 years to the present.  Most All of the rich donot like Erdogan, why? It is obvious is it not? The old rich families were close with Ataturk’s party (CHP), who received favours from that government.

Look up the richest families of Turkey.
Sabanci
Koc
Ulker
These people are still the rulers of Turkey, behind closed doors and these are very old families.

Europe Against Turkey

Europe Against Turkey

NATO's Secretary-General Mr. Jens Stoltenberg urged the countries of Austria and Turkey on Friday, March 10, 2017 to resolve a diplomatic dispute.

Turkey, a NATO ally, has withdrawn from some alliance participation - mostly military training - saying the move is aimed only at Austria.

"It is a very unfortunate situation and it means some cooperation programs can't be launched," Stoltenberg told reporters during a visit to the Danish capital city of Copenhagen.

Austria, which is not a NATO member but cooperates with the alliance, led calls last year to halt Turkey's European Union accession talks.  The capital of Austria, Vienna has also spoken out against Turkish politicians holding rallies in European countries.

"It's a bilateral situation between Turkey and Austria and we strongly urge them to solve it, so that it won't have negative consequences for the cooperation," Mr. Stoltenberg said.

The diplomatic tensions predate a current escalation with other European countries like Germany and Netherlands but as fellow NATO members Turkey cannot block cooperation with them.

Turkish President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan has compared Germany and the Netherlands to fascists and Nazis for stopping Turkish politicians from rallying to promote a referendum granting him sweeping new powers.  Mr. Erdogan on Thursday said Dutch Prime Minister Mr. Mark Rutte had lost the friendship of Ankara (capital city of Turkey) after the diplomatic row.

NATO officials told Reuters that the blocking also affected other countries that cooperate with the alliance but are not members.  Separately, Austrian tabloid newspaper Oesterreich said its website was brought down on Friday morning by a cyber attack "from Turkey", the latest in a series of similar incidents that appear to be connected to Vienna's spat with Ankara.

Let us monitor this situation between Europe and Turkey.

Thank you for reading,

Ben here.
