Average Weekly Income

Average Weekly Income

The 'average weekly income' for Canadians is now $935.00 / week, effective January 2014.

This figure is 'Gross Income' from T4 earnings.  The yearly amount is:

$48,730.00.

If you make more then the figure above, consider yourself fortunate.

This is 3.0% higher then the previous years amount.

Year-over-year T4 earnings increased in all provinces, with above average growth in the following provinces of:
Alberta,
Newfoundland and Labrador,
Saskatchewan, &
Prince Edward Island.

The province of Alberta is leading the Canadian economy in paying proper wages to employees; that's very good for us 'wage earners'.

Third Time, in His Sight

Third Time, in His Sight

Jose Mourinho, is the current Coach of Chelsea FC, of London, England.   He has a disciplined, 'no-nonsense' type of a coaching style.

Mr Mourinho has unmatched success in the UEFA Champions League.  He has lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy, as a Coach with both:
FC Porto, of Portugal, in the year of 2004, &
FC Internazionale Milano, of Italy, in the year 2010.

This year, he is trying to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy, for the third time.

No other coach has ever achieved this feat, ever.

Chelsea FC is one of the last 16 teams remaining, and the next game will be against Galatasaray, of Istanbul.

Will he be able to guide his team past Galatasaray, to make it to the semi-final? Most 'sport writers' believe he will.

I will be interested to watch his progress in this years UEFA Champions League.

Good luck 'the Special one', Jose Mourinho.

The United States Notes

The United States Notes

This is a continuation to my previous writings titled:

'Executive Order number 11110'
http://goodread10.blogspot.ca/2014/02/executive-order-number-11110.html?m=0
&
'The Elite Banking stopping JFK'

If the above links does not work, please copy/paste the link to the 'address bar'.

Today, I would like to write about the difference between the 'Bank Note', named 'United States Notes' (USN), introduced by the President John F Kennedy (JFK), with the current money in circulation, named 'Federal Reserve Note' (FRN).

Briefly, I would like to state again that the USN were issued as an interest-free and debt-free currency backed by 'Silver reserves' sitting in the USA Treasury Vault.  This was an absolute good reason to proceed with this brilliant idea.

However, the USN did not stay in circulation for very long.

The President JFK was assassinated on November 22, 1963, and the USN, he bravely issued were immediately taken out of circulation.  Currently, the FRN are the only legal currency of the USA.

What did the USN look like?

The USN looked like the FRN, the differences are that:
on the top of the Bank Note, one states 'United States Note', instead of 'Federal Reserve Note'.

Also, the USN has a red seal, while the FRN has a green seal.

The difference are just that, however the ramification of not continuing with the USN is this; the USN were backed by Silver Reserves and the FRN were not backed by anything of intrinsic value.   The USA's total debt has increased dramatically since 1963; and if the country would have continued with USN, large portion of this debt would not accumulated, since the country would not have to borrow the money from the 'Federal Reserve Bank' at Interest.

We need to re-visit the idea of 'United States Notes'.

Thank you,

Ben

The Elite Bankers stopping JFK

The Elite Bankers stopping JFK

The theory that we are not made aware of is the subject matter, I would like write about today.

Since November 22, 1963, the assassination date, there have been thousands of books filled with theory and myth as to why the President, John F. Kennedy (JFK) was gunned down in the city of Dallas.

The theory I would like to bring attention to is the government of JFK trying to stop the printing of money 'outside' of Parliament, and not in the hands of the Federal Reserve Bank (FED).

The important date of June 4,1963, is little known as the date that the attempt was made to 'start' the stripping of the FED of its power to loan money to the government at interest.

We do not realize that the money printed and loaned to the USA government is completed through the FED, which is not a government body.

On the date stated above, the President, Mr JFK signed an Executive Order Number 11110 that would eventually return the power to the USA government to issue currency, without requiring to go through the FED.

The President Mr. JFK, with the Executive Order Number 11110, was on his way to eliminating the FED and having the printing of money, backed by 'Silver Certificates' in the hands of the government of USA.  Prior to the Executive order reaching Parliament for passing, guess what occurred?

We are led to believe that there are other reasons why the President of the United States of America, Mr JFK, was assassinated.

The more plausible reason is that the 'Elite Bankers' stopped the 'Executive Order' and had the President assassinated.

What ever happened to this 'Executive Order'?
On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, the Executive Order Number 11110 was signed with the authority to basically strip the FED of its power to loan money to the USA government at interest.  With the signature by JFK, President declared that the privately owned FED would soon be out of business.  The 'Executive Order' after his assassination, has never been repealed, amended, or super-ceded by any subsequent Executive Order.  In simple terms, it is invalid now.

Last 32, including Trabzonspor

Last 32, including Trabzonspor

Last 32 teams to make it this far in the 'UEFA Europa League Cup' has been decided.

The matchup, which I will look forward to watching is the one between Juventus of Turin, Italy and Trabzonspor of Trabzon, Turkey.

The final of the 'UEFA Cup' will be played on May 14, 2014 in Juventus Stadium, therefore Juventus will be very motivated to make it to the finals, and eliminate the Turkish side.

Trabzonspor, on the other hand, will be 'focused' since the team just replaced their head coach of Mustafa R Akcay with assistant coach Hami Mandirali, who will want to prove himself to management, for a longterm contract.

This will be a very good head-to-head matchup, to be played on the following dates of:

February 20, 2014 &
February 27, 2014.

The winner of this match-up, will face the winner of:

Esbjerg of Denmark versus Fiorentina of Italy for the 'Round of 16'.

I am hoping for an exciting game and may the better team make it to the last 16 of this difficult competition.

Thank you.

Reality of Amero

Reality of Amero

‘Amero’ is a proposed name for the future North American Currency, which would replace the ‘Canadian Lonnie’,  ‘American Dollar’, and ‘Mexican peso.

This proposal is in existence and the authorities consistently meet to discuss the implementation of the ‘Amero’, as it is a way for the United States, Canada, and Mexico to collaborate on issues such as:
Customs,
Environmental and safety regulations,
Narcotics smuggling, and
Terrorism.

Implementation of the ‘Amero’ would involve the three countries named above to give up their current currency.  The new currency is modeled on the European Union Currency (Euro), and it is argued to be a natural extension of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP).

Also, another major benefit stated of the ‘Amero’ is believed that it will eventually increase trade through reduced complication for transactions of currency exchange rates between the three countries, as this would be eliminated.

The biggest drawbacks of changing over to the Amero would that the 'Federal Reserve' of USA will need to give up control of the 'money supply'.  The FED of the United States would be restricted on monetary policy.  The changes would:
Interest Rates and "money printing" would now be under the control of three countries rather than one,
The USA would no longer stand alone in its trade negotiations with other countries of the world, and
The USA would be subject to the rules of the neighboring two countries which could reduce its economic power.

For now, the ‘Amero’ is just an idea that has been kicked around and talked about with no real plans for implementation, yet.

We will continue to monitor the developments regarding the 'Amero'.

Thank you,

Ben

Tulips from the Ottoman Empire

Tulips from the Ottoman Empire

Tulips, picture them in your mind, the colors, the slender trunk, reaching up, and at the peak, a beautiful 'cup' looking flower.

One of my favorite flowers.

How was this 'petite' flower introduced into Europe and the rest of our World.

Let me write about this today.

The introduction of the flower known as Tulip to Europe is well known to be by the Ambassador of the 'Roman Empire' to 'Ottoman Empire'.

          Tulips, on the field I

This person was Ogier de Busbecq, the ambassador of Ferdinand I of the 'Roman Emperor'.

The Tulip seeds/bulbs were sent to the city of Vienna, in the year of 1554 from Istanbul, then known as Constantinople.

Soon after this date, the Tulip bulbs were distributed from Vienna to the rest of Europe.

The city that really embraced this flower was, the city of Amsterdam.

The flowers popularity and cultivation in the country of Netherlands, especially in Amsterdam is generally thought to have started around the year of 1593, at the University of Leiden, which established the 'Hortus Academicus' at this Institute.

          Tulips, on the field II

Why was the Tulip different then all the flowers in Europe at this time?

The answers are that:
- there is an intense petal color that no other plant had.
- status symbol of the flower.
- at the time, Netherlands was finding the independence from Spain, and therefore this 'independence' was symbolized by the flower.

Now, let me briefly describe the economic factors caused by the flower.

          Tulips, on the field III

After the introduction of the Tulip into Europe from the Ottoman Empire, there was a Tulip-mania formed.  The high demand resulted in surging prices and stretching the flower's supply.  Prices of the flower fluctuated with extreme 'highs' and 'lows' during these years.  It is stated in 'Economic' books that this is the first example of 'demand' based pricing.

At the peak of Tulip-mania, around the year of 1637, single tulip bulbs sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsman in Europe, especially in Netherlands.

Not only a beautiful flower, but with a 'rich' history.

Red $50 Bank Note

Red $50 Bank Note

The $50 bank note is red in colour, and introduced into circulation on March 26, 2012.

The note is printed on polymer paper, which means the note is more plastic than paper.  This means that the note is more durable than the cotton-based paper it has replaced.

The main reason by the Federal Government in implementing the new Canadian bank note is the 'Security' features.  A few of the security features are:
- the same clear windows and metallic images that are seen on the front are seen on the reverse,
- design incorporates a special tactile feature, similar to Braille Dots, for the blind, indicating the denomination of the bank note.

          Canadian $50

The front of the note:
The front of the note features a handsome portrait of Mr William Lyon Mackenzie King, who was the Prime Minister from 1921 - 1948.

The reserve of the note:
The reverse of the note shows the Canadian Coast Guard Ship, named 'Amundsen', which is a Research Icebreaker Ship.

          The back

I was finally able to get my hands on a new/old $50 Canadian Bank Note, at the same time, and took the below two pictures:

Also, I have written about $5, $10, $20 and $100 Canadian Bank Notes, please look for these blogs below:

I will now try to get my hands on a $1,000 Bank Note.  I hear they are in circulation, however to this date, I have never been able to find one.

Denarius Currency

Denarius Currency

Has anyone ever wondered what currency the 'Roman empire' used?

I researched this topic while completing couple of other blogs of mine titled:

'Fiat Money in Circulation'.
http://onlythebrave10.blogspot.ca/2014/02/fiat-money-in-circulation.html
&
'Bitcoin in the Future'
http://www.goodread10.blogspot.ca/2014/02/bitcoin-in-future.html

I have attached a link of the blogs for you to read, if the link does not work, please copy/paste to the address bar.

Now, back to today's topic.

It is important to understand the similarities of our monetary system in use today, with that of the 'mighty' Empire, and the failures associated with this system when in use by the Roman Empire and not learning from the past errors.

The Roman Empire did not utilize a 'paper' currency.

The currency in use was actual 'silver' commodity, stamped with the Emperors bust, and shaped into the size of our current 1 dollar coinage.

The Empire within all of its vast territories used one of the first examples of 'true' debasement of a currency.

This currency was called 'Denarius'.

The Denarius, when first utilized was essentially 100% pure silver.  What this means is that, the citizens would carry around with them 'silver coins' to use as 'barter' and/or money in exchange of purchasing an item from another individual.

The pure silver coinage called Denarius began circulating at the beginning of the first century A.D.

This changed for the worst soon after this date.

By the year 54 A.D., the Roman Emperor Nero ordered that the Denarius not be a full silver coinage.  The Denarius was now approximately 94% silver and the remainder made-up of other material.

By around the year 100 A.D., the Denarius coinages silver content was down to 85%.

All other Emperors after Nero, bought the idea of 'devaluing their currency' in order to pay the bills of the Empire, keep the silver for their own usage and increase their own wealth.

By the year 218, the Denarius coinages silver content was down to 43%.

By the year 244, the Denarius coinages silver content was taken down to .05, by the Emperor Philip.

The monetary system of the 'Once Mighty' Empire, directly correlates to the collapse of the city of Rome and and the Roman Empire.  The Denarius coinages silver content was only 0.02%, at the collapse date of the year 410, which was also the date of 'Sacking of the city of Rome'.  After this date, no person accepted the Denarius, as it did not store a value.

The phrase 'All things must come to an end' comes to my mind, however I hope the 'Central Banks' of each country, particularly 'the once mighty' USA studies the 'devaluation of a currency' and the consequences attached to this.

Thank you for reading,

Ben

Fiat Money in Circulation

Fiat Money in Circulation

I wanted to write about our current 'Money in Circulation' as it is a relatively important topic, which is seldom analyzed by citizens.

'Fiat' money is money/currency in circulation through out the world, without an intrinsic value attached to the money/currency.

The term originates from Latin Language to mean 'Let it become' or 'Let it be done'.

What is Money?
It is a simply what people use as a medium of exchange or a unit of account in a transaction.

The alternative to Fiat money is commodity currency, which is money/currency that has some sort of intrinsic value already.

Once upon a time all currencies were backed by some kind of a commodity like 'Gold', 'Silver' or another value able item.

Fiat money is valuable for no other reason than that the Federal Government saying that it is.  Paper money with no 'Commodity Backed' is an example of Fiat Money.

We currently are using this form of currency in this county.

Worst 3 Drops in History

Worst 3 Drops in History

Today, the 'Dow Jones Industrial Average' dropped 326 points to end the day at 15,372.80.  After numerous highs in 2013, the 'Dow Jones' has lost a total of 7.3% since january 1, 2014.

This 'sizeable' drop made me wonder what was the 'Worst 3 drops in history' of the Dow Jones Industrial.

Below, are the dates and brief reason for the drops:

3.
April 14, 2000.
Total Drop: 618 points (5.7%)

After learning that core consumer prices had risen 0.4%, which was more than expected, investors got rid of technology stocks in droves.  The sell-off spread to other industries causing all 30 stocks of the Dow Jones to fall.  Between Monday and Friday of that week investors lost a total of 2 trillion dollars.

2.
September 17, 2001.
Total Drop: 684 points (7.1%)

Following the worst terrorist attack in USA history on September 11, 2001, the market plummeted on its first day of trading, after being closed for one week.

1.
September 29, 2008.
778 points (7.0%)

The USA 'House of Representatives' failure to pass President George Bush Administration's 700 billion dollar bailout plan triggered the biggest one-day point drop in the history of the 'Dow Jones Industrial Average'.   The market plummeted, with sellers frantically dumping stocks as fears mounted that Congress would be unable to come up with a speedy fix.

I hope we never see these kinds of drops again, and 'recovery' is surely in the coming days.

Review of the movie Zero Dark Thirty

Review of the movie 'Zero Dark Thirty'

This is is an American movie portraying the man-hunt for the 'most dangerous person' on the planet; his name is Osama Bin Laden.

The film was directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Mark Boal.

The search for 'Osama' eventually shows him living in a house in Pakistan, and the conclusion of the movie is of a raid on the home and and death of the man.

This is a well made 'thriller' of a movie.  Many different good actors are involved in the film, however my favourite is Mr Kyle Chandler, who like all of his other films I have watched him in, really gives a convincing performance.

In this movie he portrays Mr Joseph Bradley, who is a 'Military Base Tie Wearing Manager', located in Pakistan.  He was one of the individuals who needs to give the order to raid the 'home' of Osama Bin Laden.   For this role Mr Kyle Chandler was nominated for the 'Washington Area Film Critics Association Award' for being in the 'Best Ensemble of Cast' in a movie.

Watch the movie, as it is a very good movie, plus watch the performance of Mr Chandler.
